Morgan Stanley’s Carla Harris to Give Keynote at Burlington’s Go Red Luncheon

Carla Harris of Morgan Stanley will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Burlington Go Red For Women Luncheon.

Harris is a vice chairman, managing director and senior client advisor at Morgan Stanley, based in New York City. She is responsible for increasing client connectivity and penetration to enhance revenue generation across the firm. In August 2013, Carla Harris was appointed by President Barack Obama to chair the National Women’s Business Council.

Harris’ passion lies in helping others. As she says, “We are blessed, so that we can be a blessing to others.” While climbing the corporate ladder, Carla had her own personal missteps amidst numerous victories. She vowed that when she reached senior management and people came to her for advice, she would provide them with the tools, strategies, and pearls of wisdom honed by her own experience.

“As co-chair of this event and a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley locally here in Vermont, I am looking forward to welcoming Carla and hearing her keynote speech,” said Julie Braun. “The Go Red movement is about education and prevention of heart disease and stroke, but we also want guests to leave feeling inspired and encouraged in their daily lives, and I think Carla’s words will really accomplish that.”

In addition to the keynote, the Go Red For Women Luncheon will also include a panel discussion, silent auction, a survivor story from local personality Mary Catherine Jones, networking and a heart-healthy lunch. Registration opens at 8:45 a.m. at the Sheraton Burlington Hotel and Conference Center in South Burlington, VT.

This event is nationally sponsored by Macy’s and CVS Health and locally sponsored by Morgan Stanley, OneDigital Health and Benefits, BlueCross BlueShield of Vermont, Northwestern Medical Center, People’s United Bank, Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer, The Residence at Shelburne Bay, Otter Creek and Quarry Hill, The University of Vermont Medical Center, The Richards Group, and Vermont Precision Tools.
